Axel Adams Foundation celebrates mothers and women with Mother's Day Luncheon

Around 150 women attended a Mother's Day luncheon hosted by the Axel Adams Foundation at Citizens Park, according to Axel Adams, the organization's founder.
The event celebrated mothers and women who act as motherly figures.
Adams said he wanted to give women in the area a nice day and let them know just how appreciated they are.

Several local people were honored for their service to the community at a scholarship gala.
“We try to acknowledge a lot of those people for their work, and a lot of the time these are unsung heroes,” said Axel Adams, founder of the Axel Adams Foundation.
The Axel Adams Foundation held its seventh annual scholarship gala March 23 at the North Augusta Community Center to raise funds for scholarships for local students.

Community leaders honored at annual Axel Adams Gala

Dozens of Aiken County’s community members decked out in their finest black-tie formal wear and gowns paid homage to those who make a difference locally and raised money for academic scholarships.
Held at the North Augusta Community Center on Saturday evening, the fourth annual Axel Adams Scholarship Gala honored seven community leaders for their exceptional work, leadership and charitable activities.

Aiken area provides scholarships to students for further education

A local scholarship gala helps to honor local trailblazers and students who want to further their education.
The Axel Adams Foundation held its 4th annual Scholarship Gala on Saturday in North Augusta. The event features high-profile people in the CSRA by honoring them for their work locally.
The evening also gives scholarships to students to help them advance their careers. Five students received scholarships.

AAF Presents Aiken County graduates scholarships at luncheon

The Axel Adams Foundation has awarded scholarships to five recent Aiken County high school graduates bound for college this fall.
The scholarships were presented during a luncheon held at the Citizens Park Conference Center in Aiken on Saturday. The brief program was designed to show the students, along with their families and loved ones, they are appreciated and supported, organizers said.

New Ellenton native wins President's Lifetime Achievement Award

Axel Adams, a native of New Ellenton, was among the winners of the 2016 President’s Lifetime Achievement Awards recognized at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Atlanta late last year.
Adams and his fellow honorees each had completed 4,000 or more hours of volunteer service.
